Lynzee - 8.5 months and crawling

She started crawling forward last weekend and by this weekend she had the hang of it and has started crawling with a purpose. Today she crawled from her bedroom to the loft looking for her Daddy. More big news: Lynzee got her first tooth Friday night!

Lynzee - 8 months

Lynzee pulled herself to standing this morning in her crib. She is moving right along - the questions is: will she walk before she crawls? Check out new pictures...

Lynzee - 7.5 months - More

This weekend Lynzee learned to push herself to a sitting position while laying on her tummy. She was also kneeling in the cradle and pushed up on her feet - not to standing but could have lunged over borad. Needless to say we will not be using the cradle anymore, the child cannot be trusted. And her latest word...ahh ohh. She thinks it is a pretty fun word, she throws her toy out of the stroller and say ahh ohh and expects the toy to be picked up and given back to her so she can start the game over again. So fun.

Lynzee - 7.5 months

Last weekend Lynzee started doing push ups - yes full on, on her toes, up and down push ups. Then mid week she strated scooting forward. She will do a push up but extend her butt in the air and pull he knees in and slide her hands forward. Interesting method, but whatever works. Then this morning she was sitting in her crib and she pulled herself to a kneeling position. She may pull herself to standing before she learns to crawl. We shall see...

Lynzee - 7 months

Lynzee said her first word!!! - well more like new sounds that include vowel consonant combination since she really doesn't show a sign of knowing where to direct her word, but for us, we say it is her first word :) *****DADADADADA***** :) Yep, she chose her Daddy. But guess what she did a week later?! She said *****MAMAMAMAMA***** on Labor Day, Sept 1, and has been saying the 2 words repeatedly ever since. Lynzee has now mastered sitting, and is working on crawling, backwards for now, everyday.

Lynzee - 6.5 Months

Lynzee started scooting backwards this last weekend. She gets her knees under her belly, plants her face in the floor and slides backwards. Her face and knees are somewhat red from the adventure. In addition, last night she got up on all fours. She loves to move and tonight she rolled from one side of the room to the other. There are many times that we look away for a minute and the next she is in a different position, I only caught her scooting once, but she gets from one place to another frequently in some manner. Miss Jamie said the same thing - you look away and look back and she is on the other side of the room, yet you watch her for 2 hours and she doesn't move at all. She is always a new adventure and so fun to watch!

Lynzee - 6 Months

I can't believe Lynzee is 6 months old!

Cereal

Lynzee had her first taste of rice cereal last night. I think she liked it, although she can't quit figure out how to make her tongue cooperate and keep the food in. I am not sure she got much, but she seemed to like the taste. This morning she rolled from her back to her front. She was so proud of herself and because she didn't want to be on her tummy anymore she was relieved as well.

Happy Father's Day - 4.5 months

Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there! Lynzee made a poem and footprints for Daddy at school, and gave him a picture frame similar to the one given to Mommy on Mother's Day. Check out the picture. Lynzee is doing well. She loves to stand, she is grabbing for her rattles and loves playing with toys. Today she was in her gym and fell asleep holding the toy, very cute (there is a picture in the photo album). She has been very sick (vomiting, and diarrhea) for the last week and is finally recovering - feeling much better. If she feels better all week, then we will be introducing cereal next weekend :)

Lynzee - 4 months

Lynzee is 4 months old and becoming more social every day. She is 25.5 inches long and 13lbs 6oz. She laughs now and is so much fun to watch. She started laughing a couple of days before she rolled over - all sorts of new things in 1 week. This last weekend she mastered rolling from her back to tummy and has learned how to get her arm free. She has also been moved from the cradle and now sleeps at night in her crib.
