Thank you Drupal (and Gallery)

I am so very happy with Drupal, you don't even know. I am very happy to kick geekcode to the curb, never to return. Drupal was actually really easy to setup, it looks good, and its powerful as all get out. I haven't even gone through the extensive list of modules that are available. I'm also very happy with Gallery Gallery. I've been using Gallery 1 on the old crouse-house for a while now, but gallery 2 is even cooler, it integrates completely with drupal, and we've got that sweet random image block thing. Its way fun.

So far, my only complaint is that I've become totally dependant on wiki code for my editing lately, and I'm struggling getting back into the html thing. If Drupal supported wikicode, then that would be... well, like Peter Griffin says, it would be freekin' sweet. With all the modules and other stuff available, there's a great chance its already out there, somewhere, but it will take some research.

So, what do I still need to do? Let me count the ways:

  • Add squirrelmail in - I'm not totally impressed with squirrelmail, but its the best I've found so far. At least there is a view as HTML extension available for Stacee.
  • Find some more modules for Drupal - I think I might do tags on the blogs, just like the real bloggers do. Hopefully I can find a wiki input format, and maybe some stuff just for fun.
  • Add in cosmicpenguin.net. I might do drupal, or I might just stick with the static. I haven't decided yet.
  • Add in the mail server - thats my next big thing after I've verified that all is happy in web land.

I'm sure there's more, and I'll think of it later and kick myself for not remembering it now. Oh, well, thats the way it rolls.
