Lynzee - 6 Months
I can't believe Lynzee is 6 months old! She is growing like crazy and today weighed 15lbs 4oz and is 27.5 inches long, her feet have started to dangle over the side of the car seat. Lynzee has been up to a lot over the last 2 months. We got her a walk around play center, which she loves. When we first put her in it at 4 months, she could barely reach the floor, with just the tip of her big toe skimming the surface. Now at 6 months, both feet are flat on the floor and running. She loves to be upright, and go go go, so this is perfect and she can run to all four stations. She started eating baby food mixed with cereal on July 6th. Her first food was green beans, then squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, bananas, and apple sauce. We had her try something different each week starting with vegetables and we just moved to fruit this week. She seems to like all food, but her favorites are carrots and apple sauce. She doesn't seem to like bananas as much. At first she was eating only at night - dinner, but 1 week ago started eating breakfast and dinner. She also started using a sippy cup about 1 week ago. She hasn't yet figured out how to "sip," and actually prefers drinking straight from the glass like us, she loves water. She hasn't yet mastered sitting up, but can sit slightly and a little wobbley. As I said before, she enjoys standing, but her favorite place to be is on her tummy. She must always be on her tummy and will do anything to get there. She can push herself all the way up, extending her arms fully - and is very proud of herself. She has also figured out how to pull her knees underneath her stomach, but hasn't connected the two tasks in order to crawl. About 2 weeks ago Lynzee also started going to bed at 8 PM, which is nice for Mom and Dad. She is reaching for toys, making all sorts of sounds, curious and bright eyed. We love her to pieces and feel so grateful for having such a fantastic baby. New pictures will be posted soon...
