Following up on my blog entry about Black Friday here, I give you some late breaking bulletins. I'll add more as they come up. A list of the free stuff you can get on Black Friday. Nothing super impressive (as you would expect with the word free), but still some things that would be nice to have around the house. It goes by many names - the day after Thanksgiving, the "Oh my God, I can't believe I ate an entire turkey" day, or quite simply, "You want me to stand in line at Target at 3:00 in the morning for what???". The retail industry calls it Black Friday, because thats typically the day of the year that most retails stores profits go into the black (except of course Walmart, who is immediately profitable thanks to their total salary of $100 per store and their utter humiliation of vendors and the elderly). My wife and her family spend all Thanksgiving going over the ads, plotting out their battle plan, and then wake up well before the crack of dawn to stand in line and fight a lady over the last Dora The Explorer doll. In the mean time, I wake up around 9, watch some TV, do my shopping on the internet, and I'm still done before they straggle in. This year, though, they're going to be prepared....
